Hi, my name is Johanna
Eliau Floral Design is my Brisbane based floral studio, where I create thoughtful, design led florals for weddings and events.
With over a decade of experience in floristry, I take a considered approach to each design, working with seasonal blooms and a carefully curated palette to create arrangements that feel refined, natural, and cohesive within your day. I’m drawn to texture, movement, and soft, tonal colour, allowing each element to have its place without feeling overworked.
Sustainability is an important part of my process. Wherever possible, I source locally and design in a way that is mindful of both the environment and the longevity of the flowers, without compromising on quality or finish.
Eliau was built on the belief that beautiful flowers should feel accessible, while still being thoughtful and elevated. Whether you’re planning something intimate or a larger celebration, I’m here to guide you through the process with care, clarity, and attention to detail, creating something that feels truly considered from beginning to end.
Sustainable Practices

Floral Foam Free
Floral foam is a single use material that breaks down into microplastics, impacting both marine environments and human health. All designs are created without the use of floral foam, using alternative methods that are both considered and sustainable.

Grown, Not Flown
Wherever possible, flowers are sourced locally, with a focus on Australian grown blooms. This approach reduces carbon miles while supporting local growers and ensuring the best seasonal quality.

Carbon Offset
Delivery emissions are offset through Greenfleet, supporting the restoration of native forests and contributing to long term carbon capture.

Minimal Waste
Care is taken to minimise waste throughout the design process. Packaging is kept to a minimum, with materials selected for their ability to be reused or recycled. All green waste is composted.
